Homemade Popsicles Your Kids will Love!

It is hot. Hot. HOT! here in Michigan right now and we are all about the popsicles right now. What’s better than a tasty treat that helps cool you down at the same time? Store bought popsicles can be filled with sugar and yucky ingredients, so we love making our own at home. Since everything we make is shared with our toddlers, we make sure the popsicle recipes are not only flavorful and delicious, but low in sugar too! We always look for options that are sugar free or only use natural sugars like honey or maple syrup. Today, we’re sharing some of our favorite Homemade Popsicle recipes that you will feel good giving to your child…or eating yourself!

Homemade popsicles are super easy to make. Aside from the recipe ingredients, just make sure you have a few other items on hand.

  • Popsicle Mold - Silicone molds like this one make it a lot easier to get your popsicles out once they are set

  • Popsicle Sticks - These food grade ones are perfect for little or big hands to hold.

  • Two in One - Alternatively, molds like this one include the holders, so you don’t need to worry about having sticks on hand!

  • Blender or Food Processor - this will make it way easier to combine ingredients for a smooth popsicle texture

Now, you’re ready to make some homemade popsicles for kids! Which one are you going to try first?

These Creamy Peach Popsicles do call for honey, so while they are delicious, make sure you are only sharing them with kiddos over 12 months.

We love these Coconut Lime Popsicles because they sneak in some healthy fats from coconut milk and avocado, without losing any of the taste!

What is summer without some watermelon? These Watermelon Popsicles use the natural sweetness of watermelon to make the perfect treat for a hot day!

The primary flavors of peach and strawberry are awesome in this popsicle recipe, but what we truly love is the addition of bananas! These help make sure a nice creamy base for the popsicle.

These Orange Creamsicle Pops are the perfect summer treat! They are super creamy and bursting with citrusy flavor from fresh oranges. They'll keep you cool and hydrated all season long!
